Introduction

The Women Leaders Forum (WLF) of the Coachella Valley is a nonprofit organization that was created to develop, empower, and serve women leaders of all ages and backgrounds. The forum provides a platform for women to network, share ideas, and gain insights from successful female leaders. To support its mission, the WLF contacted us to create a membership system and member directory for them using MemberPress and WordPress.

Challenge

The WLF faced a significant challenge in connecting the women leaders with members so they can continue to learn and grow together. The organization needed a system that would allow members to sign up easily and choose from a variety of membership options. Additionally, the WLF needed a member directory that would be accessible to all members and would allow them to connect.

Solution

To address these challenges, the WLF turned to us and we recommended the use of MemberPress and WordPress. MemberPress is a WordPress plugin that provides a comprehensive membership system that allows users to create, manage, and sell memberships. With MemberPress, we were able to create a flexible membership system for WLF that allowed members to choose from individual and business memberships, as well as gold, platinum, and diamond sponsorship levels.

We also used MemberPress and implemented some custom code using the functionality of the MemberPress plugin to create a members directory that was accessible to all members. The member directory allowed members to search based on membership level, industry type, and name of the account holder. This helped women leaders to connect with other members, making it easier to network and share ideas. The directory also provided members with a platform to showcase their company logo, company name, username, membership level, and industry type all of it was done just by using MemberPress core functionality and doing custom coding. We created several memberships and sponsorships which enable a lot of perks for the members.

Individual Membership:

The individual membership provides access to exclusive content, events, and networking opportunities. The individual membership also includes a listing in the member directory.

Business Membership:

The business membership provides access to exclusive content, and events, and receives discounts to all WLF events (member price for events). The business membership also includes a listing in the member directory.

Gold Sponsorship:

The gold sponsorship allows companies to become gold sponsors of the Women’s Leaders Forum. The gold sponsorship includes business membership with all the perks. The gold sponsorship also includes a listing in the member directory and recognition on the Women’s Leaders Forum website.

Platinum Sponsorship:

The platinum sponsorship allows companies to become platinum sponsors of the Women’s Leaders Forum. The platinum sponsorship gives you access to all the gold sponsorship benefits. The platinum sponsorship also includes a listing in the member directory, named scholarship in the Young Women Leaders program ($2,500 Value).

Diamond Sponsorship:

The diamond sponsorship allows companies to become diamond sponsors of the Women’s Leaders Forum. The diamond sponsorship gives you access to all the platinum sponsorship benefits. The diamond sponsorship also includes a listing in the member directory, becoming part of the WLF board of directors, and being named scholarship in the Young Women Leaders program ($5,000 Value)

The WLF’s membership system and member directory have been a great success. The membership system has allowed the organization to attract and retain members from a variety of backgrounds and industries. The system has also made it easy for members to sign up and choose the membership level that best suits their needs.
